Gendai Reiki Ho Attunement & Training
A Traditional Japanese Reiki Journey
Reiki is more than a technique for giving a treatment to another person. In the Gendai Reiki Ho tradition, Reiki practice is also a path of self-purification, personal development and spiritual growth.
Gendai Reiki Ho is a modern practice of Usui Reiki Ryo-ho developed by Hiroshi Doi Sensei, preserving the essential teachings of Mikao Usui Sensei while presenting them in a form suitable for contemporary practitioners.
At Heal India, Gendai Reiki Ho is taught as a progressive journey. Each level builds on the previous one through attunement, learning and, most importantly, personal practice.
This is not a one-day online certification. Becoming a Reiki practitioner — and eventually a Shihan — requires time, practice, experience and commitment.
In-Person Attunements
Gendai Reiki Ho attunements at Heal India are conducted exclusively in person, following the traditional teacher-to-student transmission of Reiki.
Distance and online attunements are not part of the Gendai Reiki Ho tradition. The Gendai Reiki Network does not recognize remote attunements as valid Gendai Reiki Ho attunements.
Heal India follows the same principle: an attunement must take place in person, directly from teacher to student. Students who have received only remote or online “attunements” are therefore not considered Gendai Reiki Ho practitioners.
This is also consistent with the importance traditionally placed on Reiki lineage: the attunement is the direct transmission of the practice from teacher to student, not something that can simply be delivered through a recording, video call or online course.
The Gendai Reiki Ho Levels
Level I — Sho-den
Healing Training | Techniques for Wellness
Sho-den is the foundation of the Gendai Reiki Ho practice.
Students receive their first attunement, learn the fundamental principles and techniques of Reiki, and begin practicing Reiki for themselves and others.
The emphasis is on establishing a regular personal practice and becoming familiar with the experience of working with Reiki.
Prerequisite: None.
EE: Rs. 10,000 in Noida
Level II — Oku-den
Healing Training | Techniques for Wellness
Oku-den builds on the foundation established in Sho-den.
Students deepen their Reiki practice, learn the traditional Reiki symbols and advanced techniques, and develop their ability to practice Reiki for the benefit of others.
A minimum period of six months of practice after the Sho-den attunement is required before progressing to this level.
EE: Rs. 20,000 in Noida
Level III — Shinpi-den
Spiritual Growth | Techniques for Happiness
Shinpi-den moves beyond the techniques of Reiki and places greater emphasis on personal and spiritual development.
Students explore the teachings of Usui Sensei and deepen their understanding of Reiki as a path towards inner peace, self-awareness and a more fulfilling life.
A minimum period of nine months of practice after the Oku-den attunement is required before progressing to this level.
EE: Rs. 30,000 in Noida
Level IV — Gokkuikai-den
Shihan Training | Spreading the Light of Reiki
Gokkuikai-den is the Shihan level — the stage at which a practitioner begins the journey towards becoming a Gendai Reiki Ho teacher.
The emphasis is on deepening one's own practice while developing the knowledge, experience and ability required to teach and transmit Reiki to others.
This is not simply another attunement. The Shihan training takes one year and includes practical experience teaching Sho-den, Oku-den and Shinpi-den.
A minimum of one year of practice after the Shinpi-den attunement is required before beginning the Shihan training.
Upon completion, the practitioner becomes a Certified Gendai Reiki Ho Shihan.
Gokkuikai-den is an extended one-year Shihan training. Please contact us for the detailed program and a quotation for the complete training.
Because lineage and continuity are essential to our approach, higher-level Gendai Reiki Ho attunements are available only to students who have completed the preceding levels of the Gendai Reiki Ho training with Heal India. We do not provide advanced-level attunements or Shihan training based solely on certificates or levels obtained through other Reiki schools or lineages. Students wishing to progress to the higher levels are required to complete the full Gendai Reiki Ho training journey with us
The Reiki Journey
Natalia Addiechi's Reiki journey began in 2007 with her first Usui Reiki attunement. She subsequently completed Reiki Level II and continued her studies through Usui Shiki Ryoho, receiving First Degree in 2010 and Second Degree in 2011.
Her search for a deeper understanding of Reiki eventually led her to Gendai Reiki Ho in 2013.
After five years of daily practice, she completed the Shihan training and became a Gendai Reiki Ho Shihan.
Her Gendai Reiki Ho lineage is:

Her Gendai Reiki Ho lineage connects her directly to Mikao Usui Sensei through five successive teacher-student transmissions.
Why Lineage Matters
In Reiki, lineage represents the transmission of the practice from teacher to student through successive generations of practitioners.
For students, knowing their teacher's lineage provides transparency about where the teachings come from and how the practice has been transmitted.
At Heal India, Gendai Reiki Ho is taught within a documented Japanese Reiki lineage rather than as a collection of techniques learned from disconnected or purely online sources.
Training Materials & Certification
At the completion of each Attunement & Training Seminar, students receive the official Gendai Reiki Ho manual by Hiroshi Doi Sensei, the corresponding certificate of attendance and documentation of their Reiki lineage.
Students who complete a level are also welcome to repeat future seminars of the same level for revision and reinforcement of their practice, without additional fees.
A Reiki Practice for Life
Gendai Reiki Ho is not about collecting certificates. Each level represents another stage in a longer journey of practice, experience and personal development.
The purpose is not simply to learn how to perform Reiki on someone else, but to develop a consistent personal practice and gradually deepen one's understanding of the tradition.
If you are looking for serious Reiki training in the Japanese tradition, rather than a quick online certification, you are welcome to begin the journey with Sho-den.
